We’re a friendly, thriving rugby club based in Haarlem Noord for men, women and children from 5 years old. Most members are Dutch but we’ve plenty of players and families from around the world, including most major rugby lands. Our contact people (see below) and trainers can all speak Dutch and English.

Seniors

Founded in 1980, we’re proud of our history,but focusedon today and tomorrow. In 2020, we were promoted to the Eredivisie, the country’s top league. Our next goal is be national champions by 2025. But with 3 senior men’s teams and a ladies team, we’re a club for players of every standard, whether you’re super serious or more of a recreational player. There’s even akeen touch rugby group for those whose full-contact days are behind them…

Youth

Haarlem has one of the country’s most flourishing youth sections. From our 5-year-oldmuggen (‘mosquitos’, the nickname for people from Haarlem) to the 8/9-year-old Benjamins, the kids play in mixed ability teams. From the 10-year-old Minis up to 18, there’s team selection. Our first teams compete at the highest level in every age group, while our other teams are also highly successful in lower divisions. We also regularly see older youth players selected for national squads or choosing to study in a traditional rugby land where they can take their love of the game to another level. But in all age groups the priority of our trainers is having fun, personal growth and rugby values.

One big friendly family

At RFC Haarlem, our players and parents ARE the club. We foster an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, and everyone is happy to ‘do their bit’. A good example is our new clubhouse, which opened in 2019as a result of hard work by everyone. The result is an award-winning building: a bright, modern space with state-of-the-art technicalfacilities, great views of the main pitch and thatunique warm atmosphere for which rugby clubs are famous.
