Rah Rah Rugby and American Rugby News team up

ARN is pleased to announce a new partnership with Rah Rah Rugby that will provide a much needed service for players and coaches in the United States.

Rah Rah Rugby specializes in the recruitment and placement of players and coaches with clubs around the world.

Despite the US being the birthplace of sports agents, they tend to cater to the mainstream American professional sports of football, baseball, basketball and ice hockey and have virtually ignored rugby. This new partnership between ARN and Rah Rah Rugby will change the landscape.

Now, rugby players and coaches wishing to join a club elsewhere in this country, or to broaden their horizons by going overseas, will have access to a professional service that can facilitate those moves.

“I started this company five years ago. I was a professional rugby player who had a passion for travel and sport,” said Rah Rah Rugby managing director Syd Douglas.

“At the time I had a manager that handled my rugby life. I saw him as my personal car sales man. Talk, talk, talk , sell, sell, sell!! All he really wanted was to get paid – he didn’t care about me and what I wanted to do.”

Douglas sees enormous potential in the game in the US, and believes America has the infrastructure, personnel, and the resources to be the best rugby nation in the world.

“American rugby players need to immerse themselves in rugby if they want to become better players. That’s no secret,” continued Douglas. “The level of rugby in this country at this point in time is considerably lower than those top tier countries. If American players want to travel abroad and truly experience another way of life then they can. That is what Rah Rah Rugby aims to achieve. Helping those who want to help themselves – Your Game, Your Way!!!

“I believe that if this country is going to be competitive in rugby on the international stage, it needs to create a culture and endorse it with the red white and blue seal of approval.”

Since its inception in 2005, ARN has striven to provide free access to relevant news and information for its readers. We pioneered rugby podcasts and continue to be the only US rugby media outlet that serves up a regular diet of news, interviews and opinions via our weekly Rugbytalk radio show.

“This partnership with Rah Rah Rugby is just one more example of ARN providing a practical and very worthwhile service to the US rugby community,” said ARN publisher/editor Brian Lowe.

“Just click on the ‘Club Vacancies’ button under the sidebar menu on the right hand side of the page to see what openings are available, and to register with us. It’s that easy.”

There is no charge to register with Rah Rah Rugby, so take advantage of this excellent service today.
